Welcome to Calling Card . top of page
Here we are at last with lots of excellent and exciting news to get us going!
It's strange to me ... whenever I launch anything new, there's always some kind of technical hitch. And so it was with this, the first of the Calling Card newsletters that we're pushing out of the official Rory Gallagher website. All set, ready to promote the Ballyshannon event with a mail-out on Monday, the wireless web connection goes down and the best laid plans etc etc.
The Calling Card Newsletter will appear in your e-mail on an irregular basis for the time being, this being dependent on events and new releases. There will be always gatherings and events to promote however, and I'm sure as everyone is aware, these provide the best way to get to know fellow live music lovers.
That's all for the 'welcome' bit then. Please do post your comments at The Meeting Place, and be aware that due to the size of our membership, I cannot provide a personal e-mail reply service, as I'd be sat here all day doing mail!
Yours in music, Darren Poyzer www.rorygallagher.com www.stereograffiti.com

Ballyshannon 2006 . top of page
"Just back from 'sunny' Ballyshannon where a great time was had by all and another delightful tribute to Rory and "the dices rolled 'til dawn" (Barley & Grape Rag). All the musicians were on top form, no doubt, inspired by 'spirit' of Rory. It was great to meet folk from Seattle to Sydney, closer to home I enjoyed meeting with writer Patrick McCabe (Butcher's Boy, Breakfast on Pluto, etc.) there, Pat features in the DVD 'Out of Ireland' (alias 'Whisper to a Scream') interviewed about Rory" - Donal Gallagher
