RORY GALLAGHER 'HOMECOMING' EXHIBITION 8th October to 10th November 2006 at Triskel Galleries, 21 Lavitt's Qy, Cork, Ireland. 00353 21 4272022 Opening hours: Sun 2 to 5pm. Tue - Fri 10am to 5pm. Sat 12 to 4pm Triskel arts centre & Dónal Gallagher are curating a gallery exhibition dedicated to Rory detailing his life on the road and journey to international stardom.  This is a unique retrospective portrait that will feature photographs from two of rock's leading photographers Fin Costello & Mick Rock, never before seen archives & audio visual content. There will also be lectures and master classes. "Triskel is taking a different approach than that of a memorabilia exhibition, so we hope to mount a unique retrospective portrait of Rory as a recording artist and live performer. It will feature interactive work stations, listening posts viewing room, exclusive photo's from Fin Costello's archive, many never before seen (as you are aware Fin worked very closely with Purple for many years and is also noted for his iconic shots of :Jagger, Kiss, Aerosmith, Priest and Ozzy)." The Triskel Art Center link  www.triskelart.com There will also be 2 concerts dedicated to Rory's memory:   Chris Newman & Máire Ní Chathasaígh: who feature on Wheels within Wheels. 7th Oct 8.30pm. Triskel Arts Centre, Tobin St. Euro 15   The Answer: Irelands direct link back to the 70's and the trail blazed by Taste, winners of Classic Rocks best new band 2005, 11th Nov 9.00pm.
