roomthirteen May Newsletter

roomthirteen May Newsletter

Hello all. roomthirteen have finished recording the album. The art work is finalized. The whole thing is almost complete. The proofs and master copy are be winging their way to Mr CD making person and the band should have a rack of rather beautiful and splendid albums to promote. So dear hearts they have asked me to cordially invite you to their album launch party. The date is May 30th. The venue will be The Globe. High St. Glossop. Derbyshire. Doors 8pm What a beautiful and glamourous setting for such an auspicious event It would be great if you, the pop listening person could grace this splendid evening with you presence. Bring your husband, wife children well any relatives. In fact bring your worst enemy and lets see if the roomthirteen boys can bring one and all together in that spirit of peaceful unity. No. Well just bring yourself. John Done has offered to buy all those people that show up a bottle of Jack Daniels. But please don't say you read that here. It is meant to be a suprise. Well lets just say it will scare the bejeezus out of John. See you there hopefully.

You can pre-order the new roomthirteen album eaterlinparadox through the website www.roomthirteen.net If you go to the site and click on the picture of Andy Goddard (keyboards and my favourite roomie) That should take you to a page where there is a PayPal button. You can click the button and pre-order the album. At a price of £7.00 plus post and package you have to admit it is a complete bargain. Get buying my friends . It feels to me like Christmas has come early. So grab yourself a bargain. Rumour has it that one person that bought it placed the bands album cover, the five bar picture, on the mantlepiece by the fire. Apparently it has frightened the kids so much that they now don't go any where near open fire. I shouldn't be telling you this as they will go mad and knock me into the middle of next week if they ever found out I had told you so sssssssshhhhhhh.

Get your lovely roomthirteen t-shirts (in market trader voice) We are not asking a tenner. Not nine quid. Not even Eight quid. At seven pound fifty I am cutting my own throat here. Yes that is right ladies and gentlemen for price of a cup of rosie lee (have you not shopped at Harrods) You can own your very own roomthirteen t-shirt. The shirt is 100% cotton and has sleeves and everything. You get a front bit and a back bit. Here is the real deal emblazoned across the front chest part of the the tee is the five bar picture that graces the album. This is complimented by the band name in white arial bold type, roomthirteen, all lower case just as our dyslectic, erm hang on, dislecksic, no hang on thislecksix, erm the five band members of the band that can't spell would have wanted it. I have been telling them for years that it is two words. Would they listen? You can buy the shirts at the album launch. After that dear friends we anticipate there will another PayPal button on the website to purchase this quality garment.

Finally can we just pass on our best wishes to some friends of ours. Firstly Hyde United Football Club for staving off relegation. The run in was about as hard as it gets and we here at roomie HQ are so pleased you stayed up. In fact we over over the moon to use the parlance of our footballing friends.

To all our local MPs, if like us your short of a bob or two, don't go earning an honest crust like most 'ordinary folk'. Fiddle your tax and expenses claims. As David Steele of the now forgotten Lib-Dem alliance once said ' you know it makes sense'

Take care dear hearts and hope to see you on the 30th May.

Kenton LeCoq

Radio Shed Records Press Officer
