Untitled Document

Alright kids just a quick update from roomie HQ but before we progress, we would like to wish you a happy, peaceful and restful Christmas and we also hope you have a magnificent New Year.

Gigs

After a successful return to live action in the local area our next gig will be at the Verge (above the Cheshire Ring in Hyde) on Saturday February 4th. Doors will be open at 8-30 pm. It will cost you five English to attend so don’t miss out. Tickets are available from the venue or can purchased on Ticketline, or just mither your favourite roomie. Hope to see you all there.

Merchandise

If you are struggling to think of a decent pressie for a loved one this Xmas why not pop along to the shop page at www.roomthirteen.net

We have a selection of rather lovely t-shirts, which wouldn’t look out of place on the catwalks of Milan, Paris, London and New York. The shirts are retro in style and are available in three colours. These lovely garments represent a real bargain when you consider they will only cost you ten of your English pounds. Like we say pop along to the shop page and treat a loved one to the thing they would want more than anything in the world.

We also have copies of easterlinparadox, our first album, still available from the merchandise page and seven pounds a pop (excuse the pun) why wouldn’t you. You can also download the album all good retail outlets and some not so good ones as well.

The New Album

There has been lots of frenetic activity in terms of the recording of the new album. We have just re-written a couple of the tunes and are currently working through the arrangements on several of the songs.

We premiered ‘Call The Cops’ at the last gig in Glossop, and this has been a favoured tune for some time and we were really chuffed to finally get it in the set. The last live performance featured King Of The Megalomaniacs, Something To Believe In, Blue Skies, Sparkle, and If You See Her. We are fairly sure that all these songs will feature on the next roomie long player.

We are hoping to capitalise on the Xmas break to finish the recording of the album. This should then leave us with a clear run at arranging and mixing the songs. The expected date for release is unclear at this time but we are hoping to get the album out before summer.

Something To Believe In

The song we recorded with the Children of Zenzele to raise money for the Winnie Mabaso Foundation is still getting national airplay on Smooth FM. The foundation support children whose lives have been affected by AIDS/HIV. To lend you support to the magnificent that the foundation do go to i-tunes and purchase the song. Every penny raised goes directly towards supporting the children. So go on make difference today. For more information go to www.winniemabaso.org
