'Hitman' Alexander is the main man, playing traditional and original
dynamic blues with influences including BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughn,
George Gershwin, Charlie Parker, Irving Berlin, Jimi Hendrix, Paul Simon,
Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Robert Johnson, and Elmore James.
Formed
in 1986, The Hitman Blues Band played all over the New York metro area,
before building their fan base further across the UK and the rest of
the US Eastern Seaboard - with a quick stop on the West Coast! While
the personnel have changed over the years due to touring demands (except
for Russell "Hitman" Alexander), the line-up has always been
top notch players with the fire and experience needed to lift up the
audience. The studio group has used some of the most respected players
in music, including Bernard "Pretty" Purdie, Ray Alexander,
Bobby Forrester, Richard Crooks, Seth Glassman, and others.
