Ian Parker returns to the Northwest with his full band.

Highly acclaimed singer-songwriter and guitarist, Ian Parker will return to Manchester for a gig at the city’s famous Band on the Wall venue on Friday 10th December.

“I’ve played alot in the Northwest over the years, and I like the audiences in that part of the world. They’re always very warm and welcoming and I’m really looking forward to coming back to Manchester” said Parker.

The show, part of Ian’s first UK tour with his full band in eighteen months, will feature new material as well as plenty of songs which will be familiar to fans.

“I’ve been largely touring an acoustic project for the last eighteen months, which has been fantastic fun, but now I’m really eager to pick up my electric guitar again and get back out there with the full band” added Parker.

The band comprises Ian’s long time rhythm section of Wayne Proctor on drums and Steve Amadeo on bass, and features an additional guitarist, leading UK slide exponent, Chris Eaton.

“The two guitar format is working out really well. Chris is a phenomenal player and very tasteful. We met at a festival in France back in 2001 and I’ve been working out how to involve him in my music ever since! The band has a fresh sound which is proving to be inspiring for us all” Parker noted.
