Such passion and abundant talent was surely what appealed to production, house/Indie label 'My Recordings', Alex's musical home who discovered him at the age of 15 and helped him take his music to the next level. Sat 19th May - Piefinger (free)
"Piefinger are a breath of fresh air in this acoustic revival," says Keith Warmington of BBC Radio Bristol. "They write, play and perform with absolute originality. They were one of my favourite sessions of the year."Piefinger have been pulling large and excitable crowds to their London shows for the last couple of years," says the EP review for Acoustic Music website, the Virtually Acoustic Club (www.thevac.co.uk). With their mixture of "wry lyrics, infectious violin pizzicato and a trademark slow build-crescendo-aftershock arrangement, their vocal harmony and counterpoint often scrapes the genius of the Indigo Girls" inspired interplays.
